Clocks and conversions
The live clocks and converter on this site read time from the visitor's device. If the visitor's device clock is wrong, the displayed times will be wrong as well. The site has no way to verify a device's clock against an authoritative time source. For high-precision needs, consult an official time service such as time.gov, run by NIST and the US Naval Observatory.
Map boundaries
The interactive map uses simplified, approximate polygons to illustrate where US time zones generally fall. State and county-level boundaries within a zone are not drawn to scale or to legal precision. Several states and counties are split across zones, and a few areas observe non-standard rules (for example, the Navajo Nation within Arizona observes DST). The map is an educational visualisation, not an official boundary reference.
Daylight saving and legislative changes
Daylight saving rules are set by federal and state legislation and can change. The site reflects the rules in effect at the most recent review date shown at the top of each page. Always verify current rules through an official source if a decision depends on them.
